We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and hard-working individual to join the Business Support function within the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Norfolk (OPCCN) for a temporary 12-month maternity cover.
Applications are invited for the above post in the Performance and Scrutiny Directorate based at the OPCCN located in Wymondham and working in a hybrid workplace. This is a great career opportunity to join a busy and professional office working within local government as part of a Local Policing Body.
The successful applicant will work closely with their Business Support colleagues and be responsible for providing a proactive and comprehensive administrative support function to assist the Police and Crime Commissioner, Senior Management Team and the wider OPCCN team.
It is essential that applicants meet the following criteria:
Minimum of two years’ experience working in an administrative role
Experience of dealing with a wide range of people at all levels
Experience of working as part of a teamv GCSE level qualifications or equivalent
Good organisational skills
Good communication skills, both oral and written
Good standard of ICT skills with experience of using Microsoft Office
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people across all levels
Ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales
Literate and numerate
Flexible approach to work and changing priorities
It is desirable that applicants meet the following criteria:
Administrative qualification at NVQ Level 3 or above
Ability to problem solve and work under own initiative with limited supervision
Hours of work are 37 hours per week Monday to Friday. This post is offered on a temporary basis on a 12-month fixed contract, subject to vetting and successful completion of a six-month probation period.
