Location: Headquarters, Northallerton with some hybrid available

Contract: 12 months

Hours: Full time

Salary: Grade 2-3, £23,286 - £25,626

Closing Date: 8th October 2025

Our Support Service functions work in collaboration across North Yorkshire Police and North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service, providing vital shared expertise to deliver efficient and effective service to our communities.

The Opportunity

As a Purchasing Support Officer, you’ll play a key role in delivering a professional and efficient purchasing service. You’ll be the first point of contact for purchasing queries, providing support and advice, escalate as appropriate, support low value quotation exercises, and ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and procurement regulations.  You will utilise electronic Purchase to Pay systems to create and manage purchase orders.

  • Experience with Oracle Purchase to Pay or similar would be an advantage
