In recent months, we have undertaken a comprehensive review of our HR operating model, leading to the creation of several exciting new opportunities within our esteemed Organisational Development HR team.

As a member of the Human Resources Team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the support we provide to our officers and staff across the second largest police force in the UK. Your contributions will have a meaningful impact on our organisation and the communities we serve.

We are seeking an HR Advisor with a passion for Leadership, Talent, and Performance. In this role, you will provide strategic, high-quality guidance that shapes our personnel, processes, and priorities, helping us build a modern, high-performing police service for the future.

What you will do:

As a trusted advisor, you will:

  • Provide expert guidance: Act as a go-to expert on HR matters relating to Leadership, Talent and performance.
  • Deliver high quality advice and effective solutions to complex and sometimes challenging scenarios, ensuring that actions align with our policies and organisational strategy. This will include the delivery of Leadership learning initiatives.
  • Drive strategic priorities: Work proactively and collaboratively on initiatives that support our leadership, talent and performance strategies.
  • You will be flexible, managing competing demands and assessing risks appropriately.
  • Influence and guide: You’ll share your knowledge and provide direction to aligned Leadership, Talent or Performance initiatives.
  • Build strong trust based collaborative relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

 

What you will bring:

  • A proven track record of providing advisory-level HR support in relation to Leadership, Talent and performance.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage a diverse workload.
  • Experience in designing and delivering development programmes for identified talent pools, as well as in developing robust, innovative performance management systems and processes that support effective organisational service delivery.
  • Creativity in delivering engaging leadership learning programs for a diverse audience.
