As a Victim Care Officer, you’ll be part of a compassionate and professional team that provides free, confidential, and non-judgemental support to anyone affected by crime. What You'll Be Doing:
- Connect with victims via phone, offering a listening ear and emotional support with sensitivity and care.
- Assess individual needs, providing tailored advice and practical guidance to help victims cope and recover.
- Inform and empower, explaining the criminal justice process and victims’ rights under the Victims’ Code of Practice.
- Manage your own caseload, including pre-planned appointments and accurate record-keeping.
- Be a force for good, making a lasting, positive impact on the lives of those you support.

Vetting and Medical:
Please be aware, as a condition of your appointment you must undergo and pass Recruitment Vetting (RV). Please be aware there is a minimum 3 year UK residency requirement for Recruitment vetting and you must be 18 years old at the point of applying. Successful applicants will also be subject to a medical assessment.
The successful candidate will be required to work Monday- Friday working around office hours which are 08:00- 18:00. There will be a need for candidates to attend events over the weekend, however this is occasional.
Please note, candidates successful at shortlisting will be required to undertake an assessment as part of the interview process.
