Are you interested in how organisations protect their systems and data? This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual—whether you're early in your career or looking to move into the field of information security—to join our team as an Information Security Advisor.
We’re looking for someone with a genuine interest in information security and risk management. While formal qualifications (like ISC2 CC or CISMP) or prior experience are helpful, they’re not essential. If you’re enthusiastic, willing to learn, and have transferable skills from IT, data protection, or compliance, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the Information Security Officer in reviewing and assuring IT systems against the ISO27001 standard.
- Helping audit different areas of the organisation to ensure compliance with national policing security standards.
- Assisting with investigations into security incidents and helping to improve our response.
- Promoting awareness of good security practices through training and communications.
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of security policies and procedures.
- Conducting physical security reviews in line with national and police guidance.
- Collaborating closely with our Cyber Security team to ensure a joined-up approach to protecting our systems and data.

- Good time management and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to support decision making.
- A team player who’s eager to learn and grow.
Due to the nature of the role, a higher level of vetting will be required.
