Job Title: Office Manager - Band D - Humint - Counter Terrorism Policing HQ
Salary: The starting salary is £38,926, which includes allowances totalling £2,928.
The salary is broken down as £35,998 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £38,523. Plus, a location allowance of £1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

Job Summary:
The National Humint Unit (NHU) provides support, guidance and capability building across the CT National HUMINT (CHIS and Undercover) capability. This also includes National Project oversight and support, training, national policy and guidance, IT management and support for National HUMINT Governance process.
A vacancy has arisen within the National Humint Unit (NHU) to oversee the smooth and efficient operation of the department. To also provide support for the NHU senior leadership team in delivering the NHU core functions and services.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide management support to covert funding and budgetary processes, including;
- Triage and management of covert funding applications including quality assurance of associated paperwork.
- Communication with regional police partners and finance departments in support of this process.
- Maintain records relating to aligned NHU and covert budgets.
- Purchase order requests for NHU.
Provide administrative support to the NHU delivery teams and NHU Senior Leadership Team, including;
- Diary management.
- Scheduling, organising and attending national and occasional international meetings. Minute taking, administering and dispensing actions.
- Provide secretariat support to the HUMINT working groups Humint Group.
- Supervising and administering the core administrative functions of the NHU central office to ensure it runs effectively.
Other Office Manager responsibilities
- Support the NHU HR workforce model and provide secretariat support for the NHU SLT HR meeting
- Secretariat support for the NHU supervisors meeting and NHU away days
- Update the office attendance calendar and on call function.
- Manage the vehicle fleet including vehicle usage policy.
- Manage IT in NHU offices
- Manage NHU inventories.
- Support SLT Email and calendar management including booking travel arrangements
- Support onboarding for NHU staff including the updating the new joiner’s pack.
Vetting
This is a new role so aspects of your role may be subject to minor changes. You will be provided relevant training to equip you to undertake your role. You will on occasions be required to work across the UK.
This post requires access to the most sensitive intelligence material on a daily basis. Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Developed Vetting (DV) level before taking up the post.
This post requires British nationality (some dual nationals may be ineligible) and an Enhanced Security Check (eSC)/Developed Vetting (DV)] clearance.
As the post holder will have access to very sensitive information, there are limitations on travelling to a small number of countries and we will undertake additional security checks as part of the recruitment process.
