Lancashire Constabulary’s Finance Department is seeking an Accountant to be based at Hutton Headquarters.

Are you ready to take the lead in shaping financial excellence across Lancashire Constabulary?

We’re looking for a driven and detail-focused professional to oversee a range of budgets, including the management of external funding and grants. In this pivotal role, you’ll be the go-to expert for financial advice, support, and guidance across the organisation.

You’ll lead and inspire a team to deliver high-quality accounting services to departments and employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

Although the role will mainly be centred around Management Accounting, you’ll also play a role in preparation of  the Statement of Accounts and supporting documentation for both the Chief Constable and the Police & Crime Commissioner, contributing directly to the financial transparency and accountability of the force.

Alongside this, you will also provide essential support to the Treasury Management function within the department, contributing to accurate cash flow forecasting and optimisation of the Force’s financial assets.

Vetting and Medical:

Please be aware, as a condition of your appointment you must undergo and pass Recruitment Vetting (RV). Please be aware there is a minimum 3 year UK residency requirement for Recruitment vetting and you must be 18 years old at the point of applying. Successful applicants will also be subject to a medical assessment.
