Crime Auditor - Police Staff

Main Purpose of Role
Working as part of the Crime Audit team you will contribute to ensuring that Nottinghamshire Police delivers an outstanding service we can all be proud of.
Your decisions will help to
- ensure victims receive the service they expect and deserve,
- ensure the integrity of force recorded crime data,
- provide opportunities to prevent crime bring committed and
- bring offenders to justice.
As a Crime Auditor you will inquisitively review the detail of calls for service from the public and partners, recorded as incidents in the in the force command and control system, as well as recorded crimes. Based on your review you will make objective decisions in line with the National Crime Recording Standard (NCRS), Home Office Counting Rules and relevant legislation. These decisions may result in you raising new crime occurrences, changing the classification of existing crimes in accordance with the rules, or escalating the incident to ensure that risk is addressed.
