Local Support Team Officer (LSTO)

We are looking forward to welcoming new Local Support Team Officers to our Neighbourhood Policing Team to provide excellent customer service to members of the public who are reporting incidents or crimes and ensuring that appropriate action is taken.

We have several positions available in various locations across Leicestershire with both full time and part time positions available. City locations for this role will include weekend working, with rural locations being Mon-Fri 09:00-17:00

What you’ll be doing

  • Obtaining of witness statements
  • Attending court and giving evidence
  • Dealing with enquiries made to police premises by members of the public

The must haves

  • Educated to GCSE grade C/4 level in English language or equivalent or be able to work at that level
  • Able to quickly assess and assimilate information and act accordingly
  • Assertive but sensitive to others needs, particularly in stressful situations
