PC- Vulnerability Hub

This is an exciting opportunity for 3 Police Constable to work within the Force Vulnerability Hub based at Force HQ. An Innovative department with the continuous aim of improving the way Cheshire Constabulary takes care of the most vulnerable in our communities, The high-quality work of the Vulnerability Hub has contributed to the forces recent HMICFRS outstanding Inspection rating in the area of protecting vulnerable people (PVP)

Within the Vulnerability hub there is a specific focus on Domestic abuse risk and vulnerability assessments, domestic violence disclosure schemes, MARAC research, information sharing, Adult and Child strategy discussions, partnership work, Partnership Integrated Triage meetings and vulnerability research using the vulnerability tracker.

The successful applicant will ideally have a background and understanding of public protection, safeguarding and managing risk. However full training will be provided.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Review Domestic Violence Scheme (DVDS) applications and make informed decision on whether a disclosure is proportionate in the given circumstances, recording appropriate rationale.
  • Complete domestic abuse and vulnerability risk assessments and make informed decisions on whether there is a safeguarding need to complete referrals to partner agencies.
  • To Complete MARAC research.
  • To Learn to complete daily partnership meetings (PiTstop) and strategy discussions involving children and adults
  • To utilise the full range of police performance dashboards and have an awareness of partnership performance data to understand and drive high performance around vulnerability within the area.
  • This is an evolving role and the post holder is expected to be adaptable and open to completing a variety of tasks to help protect the vulnerable in Cheshire Constabulary, as directed by the Constabulary safeguarding lead.

For the post holders level of responsibility ensure that all; arrangements, activities, equipment, supervision and staff health, welfare and training are complied with as fully detailed in the Health and Safety Policy
