The Occupational Health Unit (OHU) are offering an attachment opportunity to join the team as a temporary Delivery Manager for 3 months. This is a pivotal role where your leadership and project management skills will make a real difference to the OHU department and the organisation they serve.

 

About the Role

As OHU Delivery Manager, you will provide leadership to the administrative team, ensuring all systems and processes are fully digitally integrated and optimised, and supportive of a professional and efficient Occupational Health Unit.


Your role will involve:

  • Oversight: Temporarily provide overall leadership for the Administration team and ensure that the resources available meet the required capacity and capability, whilst delivering a significant contribution to the organisation on an effective cost basis.
  • Expertise: Competent Delivery Manager, Project Manager or Organisational Leader with a proven track record of implementing new systems and processes which fully embed digital capability of our systems.
  • Problem-Solving Leadership: Ensure compliance and performance of day-to-day activity against the measurement framework. Engagement and wellbeing of staff working within OHU, recognising good practice and supporting leaders to develop staff to their full potential.  Shape future service delivery and review the level and quality of service in order to meet corporate objectives, targets and priorities.
  • OHU Department: You will report into the Head of Organisational Development, working closely with them to ensure continued focus and delivery on your priorities. You will oversee the OHU Administrators.

Essential Qualities:

  • Proven track record in driving strong demonstrable performance outcomes.
  • Occupationally competent Delivery Manager, Organisational Leader, Project Manager with experience in process improvement or lean methodology.
  • Excellent decision-making, planning, and resource allocation skills, particularly in high-pressure situations.
  • A commitment to inclusivity, accountability, and continuous improvement.

You will be required to provide evidence for 2 application questions evidencing your suitability and qualities for the role. The Expression of Interest will be scored against the competency and Value Framework 2024. There will be a competency based interview for candidates who meet the expectations of the expression of interest application. 

This post is subject to a higher security clearance at MV and SC – Management Vetting and Security Clearance Level.
