CTSA Manager (Protect and Prepare) (CTPSE)
The Counter Terrorism Security Advisor Manager sits within our Protect and Prepare team whose mission is to deliver counter terrorism protective security advice and awareness training to Crowded Places, Hazardous Sites, Critical National Infrastructure and deliver personal security programmes.
The overall purpose of the CTSA Manager role is to reduce the vulnerability to / impact of terrorism within the Southeast by managing and supervising CTSA (Counter Terrorism Security Advisors) and CTAA (Awareness Advisors), ensuring efficient operational activity, tasking and performance.
The successfully appointed candidate must have experience and be able to supervise, support and develop staff. Additionally, the role will include quality assuring surveys, reports and records to ensure they comply with relevant statutory obligations and provide specialist advice to operational commanders regarding vulnerabilities in the event of UK threat levels increasing or a terrorist incident. Subsequently, those applying should have the current CTSA Accreditation. This role will be instrumental in representing the team in local and regional networks on all matters involving CTSA and CT protection.
The role will be based in Sussex, Surrey or Kent with an expectation of some flexibility to cover operational requirements across the region and nationally as required. For this reason a full UK Driving Licence is essential to the role.
Due to the nature of our work, security is of paramount importance to us and therefore it will be necessary to pass and maintain vetting level SC together with a number of enhanced security checks. In order to achieve this, you must be a British National and have resided in the UK for the past five years. Exemptions may apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government), and studying abroad. Please be aware that if successful there are limitations on travelling to a small number of countries once in post.
