Programme Security Assurance Delivery Manager - Business Change (CTPSE) - 2 year fixed term contract

The role of the Programme Security Assurance Delivery Manager is to deliver security and compliance activities on site for a construction programme, drive delivery of business transition and management of risks and issues. Additionally, this role will also manage and build relationships with private industry suppliers.

As a core member of the Programme Team the day to day responsibilities will see you supporting the Programme Security Assurance Lead in working alongside private sector Design Consultants to ensure the security aspects of the construction, including the boundary, grounds and buildings, are appropriate to Programme needs and will meet the security standards required for accreditation. This requires the developing and maintaining of relationships across private industry and public sectors

The post-holder will be expected to work with the Programme Security Assurance Lead and wider Programme team to ensure that the requirements of business transition within specified work streams are met, including the embedding of all client polices, standards and processes

Additionally, the post-holder is expected to support the Programme Security Assurance Lead in ensuring that the build phase of the construction is managed in line with business security expectations. This includes working with the private industry suppliers to assure ways of working, provide support to the contractor in managing security incidents

This is a 2 year fixed term contract, on a high-profile role within a complex construction programme, managing a complex subject matter in a matrix management organisation. With this in mind the post-holder will be expected to respectfully and appropriately challenge others when non compliance issues are identified. This will require tact and diplomacy, whilst ensuring the Programme and client requirements are met. Additionally, the post holder will be cognisant of the importance of balancing security issues with programme constraints including both time and money. Pragmatism is a must.

You will be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand and occasionally this may require working away from home. Please note that this role will require the successful candidate to work, predominately, on site.

Due to the nature of our work, security is of paramount importance to us and therefore it will be necessary to pass and maintain vetting level initially SC, increasing to DV once in role, together with a number of enhanced security checks.  In order to achieve this, you must be a British National and have resided in the UK for the past ten years. Exemptions may apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government), and studying abroad. Please be aware that if successful there are limitations on travelling to a small number of countries once in post.
