Senior Radio Comms Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Radio Comms team as a Team Leader/Senior Engineer.
This role is a flexible role in a fast-paced environment supporting officers and staff with the Forces radio infrastructure and bespoke equipment for the forces control rooms. Alongside this, you will also support operations at festivals & Events to provide technical solutions, knowledge, guidance and gather requirements from the business alongside resourcing the team to make sure we have suitable representation on-site.
You will be the line manager for the Engineers & Technicians dealing with training, welfare and daily workload management.
You will be required to work alongside other teams in Hampshire Constabulary & Thames Valley Police so no two days are the same. You will be required to work evenings & weekends during operations & events.
You will be responsible for the maintenance of Radio hardware and software to fulfil business requirements and for problem resolution (within the ITIL model).
Full training will be given to the right candidate who is willing to learn new areas of ICT technology.
Must have capability to travel to different locations across both Forces and undertake all assignments in a timely manner. Due to the requirement to work flexibly, unsocial hours and personal safety for lone working; public transport may not be available or suitable at these times. For this reason, a full UK driving licence is considered essential.
