Inspector - Armed Policing Training Manager

Applications are invited from substantive Inspectors who wish to be considered for the role of Senior Training Manager within Armed Policing Training.
In this role you will coordinate the design, development and delivery of authorised and approved Armed Policing training within your geographical or functional areas of responsibility and ensure all training is delivered in accordance with the College of Policing Training Licence.
The successful applicant will be required to undertake all initial, annual and mandatory training required for the role, including the Initial Tactical Firearms Commanders Course and Tactical Firearms Commanders Course.
It is desirable for candidates to be/have previously been a qualified National Firearms Instructor.
Successful applicants will also be required to obtain enhanced vetting for the role.
This is a national role and as such can be flexible on location.
Requirements
- You must be a serving constable in a recognised Home Office Police Force* in England, Wales, Northern Ireland, or with the British Transport Police.
- You must be free of complaints
- We do not accept applicants who were direct entry detectives to their current force
- You must be able to demonstrate a commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and a commitment to our code of ethics.
Desirable Criteria
- Current National Firearms Instructor
- Current Initial Tactical Firearms Commander (ITFC)
- National Police Trainer Role Qualification (PTRLDP),
- Certificate in Education (Cert. Ed.) at Level 3 or above,
- Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE),
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training (L3AET),
- Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (L4CET),
