Job Title: NCPP International. Product Development and Delivery (Protect) - International Protect & Prepare – Counter Terrorism Policing HQ
Salary: The starting salary is £53,920, which includes allowances totalling £2,928.
The salary is broken down as £50,992 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £55,103 Plus, a location allowance of £1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.
Location: West Brompton
Contract: Fixed term 12 months
This is a programme funded role, which is subject to the confirmation of funding by HM Government annually
Job summary
The unit supports UK cross-government efforts to enhance the security of UK nationals overseas and designs and delivers capacity building to partner countries in CT protective security and incident preparedness. In this role you will be expected to frequently travel abroad for short periods of time to support programme objectives.
You will be part of a small team that delivers a range of bespoke Protect & Prepare products overseas to local Agencies and key stakeholders. Working with your team, Programme colleagues from the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, Home Office and other partner agencies, you will develop content under your responsibility, often managing several protective security projects simultaneously.
Key tasks/responsibilities
The post holder will be required to do the following:
- Design/development and maintain a portfolio of Protect-focussed internationalised products.
- Work closely with HMG partners and international stakeholders on programmes to develop Protective Security capabilities.
- Deploy regularly overseas to deliver capacity building activity to a wide variety of stakeholders, including government, first responders and the private sector.
- Support the personal development of overseas based NCPP (International) staff and others to deliver dedicated products.
- Ensure demand, risk and resource are managed across the portfolio.
- Quality assure programme work and ensure it is delivering impact and effect.
- Complete regular evaluation reports as specified by the line manager or programme leads
- Have undertaken Hostile Environment Awareness Training or a willingness to attend training.
- Remain flexible to undertake additional tasks in support of the office of the National Coordinator, Protect and Prepare.
Vetting
This post requires access to the most sensitive intelligence material on a daily basis. Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (enhanced) (SC(e)) level before taking up the post; with a willingness to undergo Developed Vetting (DV) once in post, if required.
This post requires British nationality (some dual nationals may be ineligible) and an Enhanced Security Check (eSC)/Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
As the post holder will have access to very sensitive information, there are limitations on travelling to a small number of countries and we will undertake additional security checks as part of the recruitment process.
