Job Title: Public Protection Trainer

Salary: The starting salary is £38,926, which includes allowances totalling £2,928.

The salary is broken down as £35,998 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £38,523.  Plus, a location allowance of £1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

Location: Hendon

 

The Crime Academy, within Learning & Development, is looking to expand its team to train officers who require Public Protection training.

As a member of the Public Protection delivery team, you will play a vital role in providing officers with the training and skills necessary for their role. Your role will directly empower your trainees to serve the communities of London as developing Public Protection officers.

You will be responsible for delivering a variety of training including Sexual Offences Investigative Technique (SOIT), Missing persons Unit/Investigator (MPU), Special Child Abuse Investigation (SCAIDP), Special Sexual Assault Investigator (SSAIDP), Community Support Unit (CSU), Specialist Child Interviewing, Police Conferencing Liaison Officer (PCLO), Management of Sexual and Violent Offenders (MOSAVO)

 in accordance with The College of Policing. You will not be expected to train every subject we teach, but a broad knowledge and experience is required as you will teach a range of subjects.  

Location and working hours:

Our courses are delivered predominantly at Peel House Hendon, but Flexibility is required to train across different MPS sites, where needed. Band D is a 36 hour week 0730-1530.

Working time Information:

This will be a full time role in Learning and Development delivery services. Blended working opportunities may be available according to business need. This is classed as an Operational Role in line with the Hybrid Working Policy. 

L&D supports flexible working. This is reviewed on a case by case basis according to business needs. Part time working opportunities may become available in future.
