College staff are classed as Public Servants and we are not eligible to participate in the Civil Service transfer process, therefore while successful candidates can transfer in on their existing terms and conditions, any subsequent transfer out of the College to the Civil Service cannot be guaranteed on existing terms and conditions and new starter/modernised terms may apply.

Job description
The NCVPP requires a Senior Administrator to provide administrative and project support to the VKPP programme and wider National Centre. As such, we need a Senior Administrator who has a strong organised administration background and is able to manage a busy and varied to do list each day and all with a sharp eye for detail.
Some of the routine tasks (not exhaustive) will include: Support for Senior / Team Leader Business Administration, Diary Management, Meeting Support - Minutes/Actions, assistance Project work support, Management of Email in-boxes, Procurement, Travel Booking/Assistance (minimal) and Events assistance - Booking/Co-Ordinating/On the ay assistance/Catering / etc.
Person specification
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Provide a full administrative service to include (as required) typing, email, data entry and create, maintain and back up files and databases to track activities and workload. Maintain college web pages as directed.
- Develop and maintain good internal/external stakeholder relations, ensuring all interactions are dealt with in a professional and timely manner and redirect as necessary. Ensure security of access to premises by providing a first level reception service to callers.
- Compile, analyse and summarise data to produce a range of management reports, in accordance with business needs, for example course statistics, registrations, financial information including income and cancellation data, and portfolio and assessment submissions.
To be successful in this role youll need:
- Previous administrative experience with demonstrable organisational ability and attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with customer-focused attitude and telephone manner.
