An opportunity has arisen to recruit into Superintendent roles within Greater Manchester Police. The Chief Constable is seeking high performing, resilient Superintendents, or suitably experienced Chief Inspectors seeking promotion.
This is an opportunity for ambitious people who are passionate about delivering the highest quality policing to the communities we serve.

Demonstrate substantial evidence of their ability to drive, improve and deliver performance outcomes at a strategic level
Be innovative and creative in their approach with experience of delivering successful large-scale change
Be truly committed and passionate about the service provided to the public of Greater Manchester
Requirements
Applicants must:
Have achieved the rank of Superintendent or be a substantive Chief Inspector and have held that rank for at least two years (this can include periods as a Temporary Chief Inspector).
Have the support of your line manager, if applying on promotion.
Not have any live written warnings, final written warnings or extended final written warnings under the Police (Conduct) Regs. 2020
Pass the required vetting and medical checks prior to appointment.
Officers who were unsuccessful in the 2024 processes are welcome to apply.
