Intelligence Development Officer (IDO) (ROCTA) (SEROCU)
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU) for a ROCTA Intelligence Development Officer
Intelligence Development Officers are integral to the Research and Analysis department in SEROCU. In this role you will lead on the management of Organised Crime Groups, the development of information concerning serious organised crime (SOC) activity and support analysts in the production of analytical products.
As an IDO in ROCTA you will be responsible for researching across different data sources to support understanding on known SOC threats and to identify new and emerging trends. You will have the opportunity to research and develop intelligence for Organised Crime Groups and multiple crime types ranging from modern slavery to fraud, drugs and exploitation. You will be at the centre of the business, helping to prioritise operations against the greatest threats and deliver the maximum disruptive impact on serious and organised crime.

You will be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand and occasionally this may require working away from home. For this reason a full UK Driving Licence is essential to the role.
Due to the nature of our work, security is of paramount importance to us and therefore it will be necessary to pass and maintain vetting level SC together with a number of enhanced security checks. In order to achieve this, have resided in the UK for the past five years. Exemptions may apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government), and studying abroad.
