Over the last few months, we’ve taken the opportunity to review our HR operating model & underpinning structure and roles. As a result, we’ve got some exciting new opportunities to join our great HR team.

As part of the team working in the Human Resources Division, you can make a real difference by supporting the provision of Human Resources to our officers and staff across the second largest police force in the UK.

Key responsibilities of the role include –

  • To lead a visible specialist function within HR providing strategic direction and leadership on the
    design and implementation of leadership, internal talent development and performance
    management approaches and initiatives across the organisation.
  • Responsible for the design and implementation of the leadership, talent and performance
    management framework in alignment with the People Strategy and Strategic Workforce Plan,
    working collaboratively with Force executive, SPA and other stakeholders.
  • To ensure key learning around the use of technology can be built into service delivery models for
    leadership, talent, development and performance management, ensuring the Service maximises
    the potential to offer a diverse and modern array of learning and development opportunities to
    increase leadership development and capacity.
  • To drive the Service ambition that our Leadership and talent programme creates leaders that are
    inclusive and innovative and our approach to performance management optimising colleague
    productivity and development.
