Counter Terrorism Policing North West (CTPNW) is a five-force collaboration delivering Counter Terrorism (CT) services to our regional forces as well as forming part of the national CT Network. CTPNW’s mission is to work together to keep people safe from terrorism.

We are looking for a committed and outstanding individual who can support the Investigations team for CTPNW.

The CTPNW investigations team are looking to recruit 1 investigations officer to support the unit. In this post you will be tasked with providing appropriate support to security service priority investigations and will be required to investigate crimes falling within national, regional and force counter terrorism and extremism control strategies.

One of the main responsibilities of this post will be to conduct thorough investigations to the highest standard with the aim of securing successful prosecutions for terrorism related offences. This may arise in reaction to live events or through development of intelligence in relation to identified threats.

These subject headings will need to be added at the end of your completed EOI (expression of interest). At this application stage you are not required to evidence the criteria from the job description, this will be covered in the interview stage.

1. Experience of investigations into complex and/or serious crime.

2. Experience of dealing with forensic submissions and exhibits within a serious or complex case.

3. Experience of dealing with intelligence relating to risk during an investigation and/or prosecution.

Police Staff are required to relinquish their substantive post if the secondment duration is expected to be over one year.
