Public Service Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced operational manager to join our newly created public service team, responsible for handling all public complaints for Devon and Cornwall police.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering strong customer service to those inside and outside of the police service, coaching and leading your team through various service improvements and a commitment to drive a high-performance culture.

  • strong team management experience and experience of using performance data to track and drive team performance against KPI’s and SLA’s
  • experience of supporting and managing teams through change and process improvement initiatives
  • a strong team player with excellent communications skills
  • ability to build long lasting and collaborative working relationships with key partners inside and outside the organisation
  • experience of interpreting and working inside established policies, procedures, and regulations
  • experience of delivering excellent service to the public, communities, and customers

Working Arrangement

The post holder will be expected to spend a minimum of 2 days a week in the office, which will be split between Exeter and Plymouth to promote visible leadership across our teams.
