Job Title: Leadership Academy CPD Programme Facilitator
Salary: The starting salary is £47,060, which includes allowances totalling £2,928.
The salary is broken down as £44,132 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £52,652 Plus, a location allowance of £1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.
Location: Central London locations – Marlowe House, NSY and other locations across the MPS.
We are looking for a Course Programme Manager to join the New Leadership Academy, a key part of A New Met for London – our commitment to building a strong, capable, and confident cohort of leaders across the organisation.
This role leads the monitoring and enhancement of teaching and learning across the Met Leadership Academy, ensuring all programmes comply with national and organisational quality standards. As a QA specialist, you’ll provide expert guidance on best practices, deliver Train the Trainer programmes, and collaborate with internal and external partners to strengthen teaching capacity and leadership development.
To apply for this position, you will need the following skills and experience.
Knowledge
- Familiarity with Ofsted, Quality Assurance Agency, and other professional regulatory frameworks.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance processes in education and adult learning.
- Knowledge of digital learning technologies and innovative training approaches.
- Experience in multi-site educational environments and large-scale training programmes.
- Sound understanding of leadership models, design methodologies, and adult learning principles.
- Knowledge of curriculum development and assessment design.
Skills:
Lead – Providing leadership and assurance in:
- Supporting educational programmes through effective planning, stakeholder engagement, and risk management.
Master – Operating as MPS lead in:
- Quality assurance, quality improvement, and quality governance.
- Train the Trainer design and delivery.
Advanced – Highly competent; able to train others in:
- Teaching, training facilitation, and L&D course continuous improvement.
- Use of L&D tools, systems, and risk assessment/escalation.
- Skills like presentation, facilitation, communication, and leadership.
Intermediate – Competent with minimal supervision in:
- Creative thinking and business writing.
- Microsoft Office 365 applications (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word).
Experience:
- Extensive experience in teacher training, staff development, and coaching.
- Proven track record in improving teaching and learning within educational settings.
- Experience delivering Train the Trainer programmes.
- Skilled in monitoring trainer performance and implementing improvement strategies.
