We are seeking a professional and proactive Personal Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative and organisational support to the Chief Officers of Hampshire and IOW Constabulary. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth and effective running of the Chief Officer team by delivering efficient diary management, confidential document handling and professional communications with internal and external stakeholders.

Salary: Scale 5/6 , £29,109 - £34,329 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week
Closing Date: Sunday 27th July 2025 at 23:59 hours
Provide comprehensive PA support to one of the Chief Officers, including diary, inbox management and collation of briefing materials and reports.
To build an effective working relationship with the Staff Officer ensuring accurate communication and follow up on key-tasks.
Collaborate with the other PA’s to support organisational priorities, share best practice and stepping in during periods of absence or high demand.
Attend and accurately minute a range of meetings ensuring timely distribution including proactive management of actions.
Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
Coordinate travel and accommodation arrangements, ensuring value for money and compliance with force policy.
To accompany the Chief Officer on work assignments at locations other than Strategic Headquarters.

Proven experience in a senior administrative or PA role, ideally supporting executive-level staff.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with people at all levels.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively under pressure.
High level of discretion and professionalism when dealing with sensitive and confidential matters.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Knowledge of policing structures or working in a public sector environment is desirable but not essential.
Confident in setting up technology to host online and hybrid meetings.
Educated to Educated to QCF Level 2, 5 passes
including English OR work experience deemed to have brought
the postholder to a comparable level.
A minimum of 3 years secretarial or administrative
experience in a responsible position calling for use of
complex record keeping systems.
Experience of working with Senior Managers.
Extensive experience of typing/word processing/Microsoft
Office applications and proficient in document layout
