Vacancy Information

Are you a Police Constable looking for your next challenge? Do you have a passion for protecting the vulnerable and bringing offenders to justice?

We’re excited to offer a unique opportunity to join our growing Public Protection department at Sussex Police — an exceptional team at the forefront of tackling some of the most serious and complex crimes we face as a service.

Whether you're an experienced PC or someone pursuing the Detective Pathway, this is your chance to be part of a specialist unit investigating Rape and Serious Sexual Offences (RASSO), as well as Child and Adult Protection cases. You’ll be working shoulder-to-shoulder with skilled detectives, safeguarding professionals, and partner agencies, supported every step of the way with structured development and a strong team ethos. Whether your goal is to become an expert investigator as a front-line PC or progress to the rank of Detective Constable, we’ll help you maximise your potential.

We’re proud to support flexible working, and we actively encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds and experiences. If you want a career with purpose, challenge, and meaning, this is it.
