Uniform Stores Officer - Police Staff

Main Purpose of Role

 

Working within a small team you will be responsible for the receipt, issue, stock checking and assessment of clothing, accessories, miscellaneous items, for the maintenance of the Uniform Portal and for delivery of stock around the force to ensure a quality service to all staff.

 

Although predominantly based at Newark the post holder must have the ability to travel across the county to various force locations as and when required more noticeably to Force HQ where we carry out our Uniform fittings for new recruits/cohorts and serving police officers and staff.

 

Key Skills & Experience Required

 

Demonstrate a knowledge of, and experience within, a purchasing and distribution environment.

 

Demonstrate experience in the procurement of items, including the trialling and quality assessment process.

Have experience in the use of computers, particularly software necessary to record and monitor orders and stock levels.

 

Have the ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner.

Demonstrate the ability to effectively prioritise and manage competing demands.

Possess a flexible approach to meet the demands of the workload.

Have a proven record of working as part of a high-functioning team and demonstrate a strong work ethic.

 

The post holder must be able to demonstrate a personal commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion in line with force values.

 

The post holder must be committed to customer care and a high quality of service.

 

The post holder must be committed to their own personal development.

 

The post holder should have a full UK driving licence;

The post holder will require vetting to the recruitment level.

The post holder should have A*-C grade GCSE (or equivalent) in Mathematics and English, or equivalent demonstrable experience.
