Job Title: Senior LMS Administrator
Salary: The starting salary is £60,893, which includes allowances totalling £2,928.
The salary is broken down as £57,965 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £63,230. Plus, a location allowance of £1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

This is an exciting time to be working as a Senior LMS Analyst for the Metropolitan Police Service. Key Role Responsibilities
The role holder will oversee the delivery, maintenance and development of the operational performance of the Met’s Learning Management System (LMS), implementing best practices for learning, providing daily support to ensure the operation of the LMS remains stable, and managing efficient collaboration with cross-functional teams for the process of information exchange. You will
- Serve as the primary system administrator for the LMS (Cornerstone On Demand). Managing system configuration, settings, permissions and maintenance.
- Oversee user management, including role-based access controls, security settings, and permission structure and data integrity
- Ensure seamless integrations are maintained with our core systems, PSOP and other third party applications, ensuring where required faults are escalated through our support contract framework.
- Manage LMS upgrades, CSOD releases, testing and deployment of new features and functionality
- Troubleshoot system issues, working with internal and external suppliers if required.
- Monitor system performance, user engagement and learning effectiveness, making recommendations for improvement to the Head of Learning Technologies
- Identify opportunities for automation and identify where processes can be lean, reducing manual effort in LMS administration.
- Analyse feedback and system data to identify potential improvements for end users.
- Maintain best practice in learning analytics and reporting. Ensuring that we leverage data from the LMS to inform data-led decision making.
- Ensure that content held within the LMS is properly structured, version controlled, managed, tagged and categorized to ensure ease of use.
- Provide technical guidance to instructional and digital designers within Content and Development Team, ensuring that learning developed meets the LMS requirements (for example SCORM, XAPI, and other e-learning standards)
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for administrators, trainers, and end users to ensure effective use of the platform.
- Work closely with the LMS Service Desk manager to review incidents and requests on a regular bases to ensure improvements are made based on user feedback.
- Create and maintain user guides where required to ensure the business has access to self-serve and trouble shoot where required.
Location and Working hours:
The role will be based at Hendon and Sidcup, with a blended approach to agile working across the Met estate. The core hours of working will be Monday-Friday 0800 – 1600 but there needs to be flexibility to meet the criteria of the role as and when required.
