Counter Terrorism Policing North West (CTPNW) is a five-force collaboration delivering Counter Terrorism (CT) services to our regional forces as well as forming part of the national CT Network. CTPNW’s mission is to work together to keep people safe from terrorism.

We are looking for a committed and outstanding individual who can support CTPNW in achieving its mission.

As an Assurer in the Retain Review and Disposal (RRD) Team - based in the CTP Northwest - you will work to support accurate and effective RRD delivery across the national CT network.
Working within a busy environment you will ensure that risk-based decisions made by the team are reviewed and retained for a CT network policing purpose or destroyed in compliance with CT Policing’s legal obligations. You will influence the continuous professional development of the team and be expected to act as a subject matter expert once you have completed the appropriate training.

Successful candidates will receive RRD training that will be both classroom and office based. The training – which lasts 8 -10 weeks - must be completed in full before the role can actively commence. Therefore, please note that annual leave during this time will only be granted by in exceptional circumstances.

Due to the sensitive nature of the role, Developed Vetting is required before successful candidates can commence training. Please note that this can take 6-12 months. Information and guidance is available to support applicants during the vetting process.’

Please be advised that following a successful application, final release will be subject to approval by the Deputy Chief Constable. HR reserve the right to withdraw any application that has not been granted approval.

Police Staff are required to relinquish their substantive post if the secondment duration is expected to be over one year.
