Chief Inspector Promotion Boards - September 2025

Promotion Boards to the rank of Chief Inspector will be held on 4th, 5th & 8th September 2025.

If you wish to be considered, please register your interest by submitting an application via the E-Recruitment Portal no later than 23:55 on Friday, 1 August 2025.

In addition to your online application, you must also complete and submit the Chief Inspector Promotion Board Portfolio. Please email your completed portfolio to:

Important Information:

People Services will coordinate oversight of applications by the Chief Officer Team.
Shortlisting will be based on your submitted portfolio and the recommendation of the Chief Officer Team.
By submitting your portfolio, you confirm your understanding of the leadership responsibilities and standards expected at Chief Inspector rank, and your commitment to uphold them if successful.
You must be up to date with all mandatory training and willing to work anywhere within the Force area.
If you have any restrictions or exemptions the board should be aware of, please detail these in the ‘sign off’ section of your portfolio.
Candidates requiring reasonable adjustments at any stage should contact the People Services, Workforce and Leadership Team to discuss available support.

Final Reminder:

Please ensure your application is submitted and endorsed via the E-Recruitment Portal, and your portfolio is emailed to the above address before the deadline of 23:55 on Friday, 1 August 2025
