- S25-204 System & Workflow Design Officer (LC8)
Lancashire Constabulary is looking for a System & Workflow Design Officer to join our team.
The purpose of this role is to support organisational change by identifying, mapping, and analysing current systems and processes across departments. This role ensures that workflows are efficient, changes are well-understood, and impacts on key systems are clearly communicated to stakeholders.
This role works closely with Change leads, senior leaders and subject matter experts across the organisation to understand and capture the flow of work through our systems. It looks at interdependencies and identifies areas for improvement or blockers. The postholder will map out the processes using their technical knowledge and contribute to recommendations for improvement. They will be vital in the training and delivery of new processes within the systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and map current business systems and processes to create accurate process flows as designed to be used
- Analyse the business needs and organisation needs to assess the impact of proposed changes on systems such as Connect, Pronto, WPC Compact, and GoodSAM etc.
- Conduct research using appropriate methodologies and techniques to support change initiatives.
- Identify and promote best practices to enhance workflow efficiency across the organisation.
- Liaise with product owners and information asset owners to ensure alignment and clarity.
- Communicate changes in systems, data, and processes to the analytical team to ensure performance management.
- Support the delivery of high-quality service through continuous improvement and innovation.
- Providing training to users on new systems and software.

Skills and Experience:
Must possess a nationally recognised teaching qualification at level 4 or above/possess substantial work experience in operational policing systems, bringing the postholder to a comparable level.
Vetting and Medical:

Please be aware there is a minimum 3 year UK residency requirement for Recruitment vetting and you must be 18 years old at the point of applying. Successful applicants will also be subject to a medical assessment.
