We are seeking a driven and self-motivated Infrastructure Manager to join our dynamic technical team. This pivotal role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and infrastructure. The successful candidate will stay ahead of the technology curve, managing server, cloud and network infrastructure to maintain ongoing operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic technical direction and ensure the quality, scalability, and integrity of IT solutions across the organisation.
  • Review, contribute to, and approve technical designs to align with business requirements and architectural standards.
  • Leverage deep expertise in networks, voice systems, cloud and infrastructure security, Azure, on-premises storage, backup, and virtualisation technologies.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the technical team—fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, delivering sustainable solutions that enhance system reliability and performance.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure the quality and integrity of our IT solutions. Review, contribute, and approve technical designs to meet requirements and standards. Having extensive knowledge of networks, voice, cloud and infrastructure security, azure and on prem storage, backup and virtualisation.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with infrastructure projects to ensure business continuity and minimal disruption.
  • Ensure all infrastructure practices comply with internal governance frameworks, security policies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., Cyber Security, GDPR, NCSC).
  • Promote a culture of compliance and security awareness across the technical team and wider organisation.
  • Implement continuous improvement practices in infrastructure management to increase efficiency and achieve cost savings.

Skills and experience:

  • Deep experience in cloud platforms, networking, data centre operations, and voice infrastructure.
  • Solid track record in driving service excellence, managing performance, leading organisational transformation, and fostering a culture of innovation.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively across diverse audiences and platforms.
  • Strong capability in leading people and change initiatives, embedding continuous improvement and high-performing teams
  • Stakeholder and Vendor Management: Demonstrated experience in managing third-party vendors, optimising IT contracts, and maintaining accountability for budgets and resource allocation.

The base salary for this role is £58,455, you will also receive a market factor uplift of up to £10,100 depending on experience, reviewed annually.

To be eligible to apply for this role you must have a 5 year ‘checkable history’ in the UK – ideally this means that you would have been resident in the UK for the last 5 years.
