Deputy Information Security Officer - Cambs
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy ISO to join our Information Security and Assurance team. The successful candidate will manage parts of the Information Security and Assurance Unit (ISAU) and other IMD specialist teams, ensuring the protection of BCH information systems and assets from security incidents, cyber-attacks, and data breaches. This role is crucial in maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our information assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage teams of security and IMD professionals to achieve IMD strategic goals, implement and audit information security controls, and information management practices.
- Conduct information assurance audits and ensure compliance with national policing policies and standards.
- Provide guidance on cyber risk management and support project delivery teams.
- Monitor and respond to security threats and incidents.
- Develop and maintain security documentation and risk management strategies.
- Foster strong internal relationships and manage customer perceptions.
Entry Requirements:
- Proven experience in managing an Information Security and Assurance team.
- Proven management level experience
- Strong knowledge of ICT, information security, and risk management.
- Familiarity with NIST Cyber Security Framework and ISO27001.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Relevant qualifications such as CISMP or CompTIA Security+ (or willingness to obtain).
- Full UK driving license or ability to travel across BCH.

Additional Information:
- The role requires travel across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire.
- The post holder may need to work additional hours and comply with health and safety requirements.
- Vetting at MV and SC levels is required.
