Salary: Scale PO1, £40893.00 - £43920.00 per annum

 

Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week

Job Purpose

 

 

The successful candidate will  lead an efficient and effective method of meeting the Driver Awareness Training needs of the Force by effectively leading the Driver Awareness Training and Administration teams, ensuring training is delivered in accordance with National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme (NDORS) Licencing requirements and in support of Roads Policing strategic objectives. 

The role is based at Netley, however the role holder is required to visit various locations within Hampshire and the Isle of Wight during working hours, and therefore needs to have the ability to travel as necessary.

 

 

Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

 

1. Work collaboratively with senior managers and other departments to ensure that the DAT Training model is effective and cost efficient in accordance with Contract Standing Orders/Procurement rules.

 

2. Engage with and work collaboratively with National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme (NDORS) to ensure continued Service Provider Licencing status through the annual Provider Licence Review process. Maintain an effective relationship with NDORS and to represent the Force in negotiations regarding future developments of courses and processes.

 

3. Engage collaboratively with National Association of Driver Intervention Providers (NADIP) to steer and influence future developments within NDORS that impact on Service Providers and their business.

 

4. Manage the periodic procurement of core systems for the DAT functions, including any additional systems/functions to ensure maximum security of data obtained through DAT.

 

5. Regularly review/update as necessary all DPA/DPIA documents to ensure they reflect any changes in DAT or system processes.

Essential Qualifications

 

 

Educated to  QCF Level 5, A Level OR work experience deemed to have brought the role holder to a comparable level. 

Essential Experience

 

 

Proven experience in the management and development of staff.

 

Experience of managing budgets and ensuring financial compliance and best value for money is achieved.
