Job Title: Police Pensions Advisor

Salary: Band B The starting salary is £59,839 which includes allowances totalling £2,928.

The salary is broken down as £56,911 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £69,342. Plus, a location allowance of £1,982 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000

Location: Remote working nationally within UK. NPCC is currently based in close proximity to St James Park underground station, London and therefore occasional travel will be required to this premise and other Police locations across the UK. We encourage applications from candidates living across the UK. Further details on flexible arrangements will be discussed at interview stage.

Contract: Secondment until 31/03/2026 (with the potential for further extension subject to funding and performance).

Allowances:  A location allowance will be awarded to Met/External applicants and secondees already in receipt of this allowance. Secondees from other forces, outside of the London area will not be entitled to this allowance but instead can claim any travel expenses incurred.

Please send authorisation forms, with Line Manager and Superintendent/ Head of Department approval to Workforce Planning at least 3 working days before the closing date. Workforce Planning will then review eligibility.
Please be advised that following a successful application, final release will be subject to approval by the Deputy Chief Constable. HR reserve the right to withdraw any application that has not been granted approval.
Police Staff are required to relinquish their substantive post if the secondment duration is expected to be over one year.
