An opportunity has arisen for a Cyber & Information Security professional to join our Information Security Management team which is part of the wider Digital, Data and Technology Command.

.

The Cyber Security Risk and Intelligence Assistant is a full time permanent position, Monday to Friday. The role is based at Cumbria Constabulary HQ in Penrith, however some agile working can be considered with the ability to work from HQ in Penrith occasionally.

.

You will play a key role in supporting the Cyber Security Risk and Intelligence Advisor working to reduce risk and improve the protection and value of the Force’s data and information assets, helping develop and report on business processes and information risk across multiple policing services and systems.

.

You will also assist in the provision of security advice to the Force personnel including Information Management colleagues and Senior Leadership, Chief Officers and Information Asset Owners. The post holder will also undertake core system audits in line with requirements and identify trends, risks, and areas of improvement.

We need you to be enthusiastic, innovative with strong analytical and organisational skills and to be able to present reports concisely, accurately and to an exceptionally high standard of literacy and clarity. Technical skills, or an ICT background, will be helpful but are not essential as core training will be given, including mandatory successful completion of Certificate in Information Security Management Principles.

The post holder will also be considered for an Apprenticeship in a Cyber Risk Management field to help develop skills and knowledge over time, for which study time will be allocated from within working hours.
