Job Title: 
Senior APMIS Advisor 

Salary: Band C. The starting salary is £47,060, which includes allowances totalling £2,928. 

The salary is broken down as £44,132 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £52,652. Plus, a location allowance of £1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000. 

Location: Remote working nationally within UK with occasional travel to locations across the UK. 

Contract: Fixed Term Contract until 31/03/2026 (with the potential for further extension subject to funding and performance). 

 

THE NATIONAL POLICE CHIEFS’ COUNCIL (NPCC)

NPCC SERIOUS ORGANISED CRIME PORTFOLIO 

The Serious Organised Crime (SOC) Portfolio delivers a national cohesive and directed approach to tackling serious organised crime. It does this by coordinating and delivering numerous programmes and projects under the direction of a Deputy Chief Constable Lead. 

The APMIS programme delivers and nationwide SOC tasking and performance tool. A small programme team deliver this to all 43 NPCC forces. 

THE ROLE 

To support all 43 NPCC Forces with the day-to-day management of the APMIS (Agency & Partner Management Information System), share best practice, implement and maintain robust governance procedures, develop and enhance the system and drive performance and consistency through the APMIS system. The role holder will have a clear focus on what works best for the NPCC (National Police Chiefs Council) forces, maintaining consistency of SOC (Serious and Organised Crime) performance from a local to national level. 

 The successful candidate would need to have the following experiences and skills: 

  • In depth knowledge and expertise of APMIS and the role it plays in combatting SOC 
  • Knowledge of disruptions, MoRiLE assessments and moderation of disruptions and MoRiLE assessments 
  • Clear understanding of the National Minimum Standards for SOC Disruption Recording and the application of these at a Force level 
  • Project and Stakeholder Management skills  
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Ability to effectively challenge, influence, engage and inspire others including senior leaders and national bodies (including Chief Officers, Home Office and HMIC)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 

Occasional national travel may be required. Travel expenses will be paid if location allowance is not being received, or when travel falls outside of the home to work journey. NPCC will pay for overnight accommodation if required. 

The Metropolitan Police manage HR for NPCC recruitment.
