Applications are invited for an Intelligence Officer, this is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a unique team, supporting the work of Counter Terrorism Policing.
The Fixed Intelligence Management Unit (CTPNE FIMU) provides a function whereby operational intelligence is managed in support of high threat and risk investigations.
As a member of the Fixed Intelligence Management Unit you will receive, access, evaluate and develop intelligence, ensuring compliance with local and national policy. The role requires controlling information and intelligence dissemination within the National Common Intelligence Application to both internal and external partners.
You will need the ability to review and assess information, conduct initial risk assessments and prioritise response according to threat and risk. Ability to work under pressure, making critical decisions is essential, as is the ability to pass advanced courses and accreditation in relation to intelligence handling.
You should have a willingness and ability to travel and work throughout the NE Region and the UK and be prepared to work flexible hours to meet operational requirements.
The posts involves working a rota pattern including weekends, 1 week in every 12, incorporating and on call week for which you will receive relevant weekend enhancement.
