We are offering a great opportunity for you to join our multi-disciplinary Occupational Health, Team in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire.
We are looking at a full time post. This post will have a blend of onsite and remote working during the week. Part time applications will also be considered
The Occupational Health Advisor post is based at Welwyn Garden City Herts Police HQ with some travel across sites to work demands when needed. As part of this multi-disciplinary team, you will report to the Snr OHA and will assist in the delivery of a professional, evidence based Occupational Health service which meets the needs of the 3 Police Forces. We believe our Service helps to achieve the Forces’ vision of purposefully adding value to the communities in which we work and live.
You will have the opportunity to use a range of your OHA skills and experience and the role will be a blend of case management, health surveillance, preemployment medicals and some duty work where required.
Clinical support and ongoing training are paramount to our team. As a focus on this we provide external clinical supervision, peer support and CPD opportunities as part of the role
We are looking for an OHA who has a solid understanding of current Occupational Health issues and relevant legislation with proven experience of complex case management. We are passionate about supporting our employees with solution focused OH advice, which helps to promote a positive work life balance.
You will be a Registered General or Mental Health Nurse with a qualification and or a good level of experience in Occupational Health. Success in this role requires excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation. Effective time management skills and IT skills such as TEAMs are essential for this role. Previous experience of using OH IT systems would be an advantage.
