ICT Trainer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of ICT Trainer, based at the Learning and Development Centre in Grangetown to work as part of a small ICT delivery team.Successful candidates will predominantly deliver and facilitate ICT learning programmes for student Police Officers, Special Constables, Police Community Support Officers and Police Staff, however they may also be required to assist in the delivery of other training programmes on occasions according to Force needs; working between training programmes when necessary.
The role
Working as an ICT Trainer within the police is a rewarding and a satisfying role, where you can ensure that police officers and staff are equipped to carry out their roles using IT systems efficiently and effectively. Possessing excellent communication skills you will engage with a range of IT users, coaching and assisting them to reach their potential in the systems which they utilise.
The core functions of the role are;
· Assisting in the delivery of a range of ICT learning programmes, using a full range of teaching skills;
· To develop learning and development programmes or sessions to support the delivery of the Forces Policing Priorities; meeting the needs of specific groups of learners and ensuring national and local professional standards are met;
· Ensure Continuous Professional Development is regularly updated to maintain knowledge and understanding of the College of Policing standards, as well as other relevant national standards of accreditation.
