We are recruiting to the role of Senior Procurements and Contracts Officer, based in the Legal Services department at Cheshire Constabulary Headquarters, Winsford.

The role of Senior Procurements and Contracts Officer works at an advanced level, engaging in more complex work between officer and manager level.

In this role you will work alongside Procurement and Contracts Managers to support and maintain procurement and contract management processes for Cheshire Police as well as continually seek value for money, maintain relationships and performance management of suppliers and provide advice on all areas of Force purchasing and contract activity.

To apply for this role, you will be educated to Level 6 in procurement or a business related subject or hold the equivalent professional experience.

You will have significant experience of Procurement and Contract management with a higher level of knowledge and minimal supervision required across a broad range of environments for example technology, finance, estates and human resources which will include:

  • Tendering process
  • Leading on the drafting, negotiating and managing the procurement process of medium value, medium risk contracts with minimal supervision.
  • Assisting with the drafting of terms and conditions
  • Creating, managing and reviewing the evaluation of contract compliance and selection of preferred supplier.
