Commissioning Officer - Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner
An exciting opportunity has arisen to help the Police and Crime Commissioner for Suffolk commission a wide range of vital services, including for victims of crime, across Suffolk.As the Commissioning Officer you will work closely with the Police and Crime Commissioner, their senior management team and partners across the county to deliver a complex and varied range of commissioned services aligned to the PCC’s Police and Police Plan.
The successful candidate will provide advice, analysis and briefings to inform the PCC’s commissioning direction, strategy and contract management. They will also evaluate contract tender responses, grant applications and related monitoring data to commission and maintain appropriate service provision.

• Experience with research, analysis and commissioning / grant-making.
• Experience of working in a political environment and with senior leaders.
• The ability to understand, analyse and present complex statistical, qualitative and financial data quickly.
• The ability to give clear, concise and authoritative advice, and be able to negotiate and exert influence when required.
• Confidence working under pressure and to deadlines while managing multiple issues simultaneously.
• The ability to establish and maintain relationships with key partners and suppliers.
• Highly developed written and oral communications skills with an ability to write clear and concise reports and policies including responses to consultations.
