Community Speed Watch Co-ordinator

Deliver the Community Speed Watch (CSW) initiative to the people of Derbyshire.  

As the Community Speed Watch Co-ordinator you will train and co-ordinate members of the public, to deploy and operate safety speed detection enforcement devices to provide a visible presence on the road network, capturing incidents of excess speed and educating the public into the dangers of speeding.

What you’ll be doing

  • Introduce and train new CSW groups to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and effective operation and ensure existing groups are supported.
  • Arrange, attend and deliver presentations of the CSW program to the communities of Derbyshire.
  • Research, statistical interpretation and presentation of data to identify trends to support Derbyshire Constabulary’s casualty reduction priorities and strategies.

You must have experience of

  • Working in a supervisory role.
  • Working with partnerships and external agencies.
  • Managing groups of volunteers.
