We have an opportunity to join West Yorkshire Police’s Corporate Communications team as our Digital Print Manager. This is a full-time, permanent post.
Reporting to the Creative Services Manager, and leading up to three Digital Print Operators, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and overall governance and performance of our Digital Print Unit.
You will ensure that the right processes, maintenance procedures and Health and Safety policies are in place and upheld. Maintaining contact with commercial print contractors and raw material suppliers will be a core part of your role, as well as overseeing tender processes.
As the primary point of contact within the unit, you’ll be relied upon for professional advice on the best solutions to deliver work to the highest quality and for the best value for West Yorkshire Police and its partners. The unit develops a range of materials, both to support operational policing, internal initiatives, and external campaigns and engagement.
You’ll also be responsible for the performance, wellbeing, and development of staff members within the unit and contribute to the work of the wider Creative Services team in delivering strategic communications activity and behavioural change campaigns to improve public trust and confidence.
Experience of working in a printing environment is essential and keeping up to date on the latest print technologies and developments is desirable.
This role is based on-site at our unit on 41 Industrial Estate, Wakefield.
