We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our Joint Emergency Transport Unit, which is based at Trentham Lakes, Stoke on Trent. 

The Joint Emergency Transport Unit is responsible for servicing and maintaining all fleet across both Staffordshire Police and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue.

About the Opportunity:

You will be working alongside a small but passionate team, who strive to achieve high standards in service delivery for all our colleagues who drive and use our fleet vehicles.

The role will directly manage the Transport Office Assistants and will be the first point of contact between the Business Manager and the team. You will take responsibility for the day to day workings of the office function and workload. You will allocate tasks, plan workloads and deal with issues arising, as well as liaising with the Business Manager to help set and implement expectations within the office function.

You will be expected to perform a number of administrative functions and tasks to support the efficient and effective processes of transport services. These will primarily be the more ‘specialist’ functions rather than the day-to-day tasks performed by the assistants but, when required, you will be expected to perform these too.

Whilst reporting into the Business Manager, you will have the freedom to shape the office functions to drive continuous improvement in the Joint Emergency Transport Unit.
