Location: Police Headquarters, Northallerton, with opportunities for hybrid working
Contract: North Yorkshire Police, Permanent
Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week, Monday – Thursday 08:30-17:00 and Friday 08:30-16:30. Some flexibility with working hours could be considered
Salary: Scale 5 SCP 23-26 £29,109 - £31,296.

Our Support Service functions work in collaboration across North Yorkshire Police and North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service, providing vital shared expertise to deliver efficient and effective service to our communities.

Do you have a recognised qualification in graphic design (or equivalent experience) and experience working in graphic design for print, web and social media?
We are looking for a creative and forward-thinking individual, with a flair for working with customers, taking design briefs and presenting design concepts, to join our team!
We would particularly welcome applications from individuals who also have experience of video filming, editing and production.
As a Graphic Designer you'll need to listen to clients and understand their needs before creating design solutions. You will be able to provide the force with high quality, cost effective and professional designs for use in publications, in print, on the web, social media and for events.
What we’re looking for:
- You will have a recognised qualification in graphic design or have equivalent experience, in addition to experience working in graphic design for print, web and social media.
- You will have experience of working with customers and presenting design concepts, along with experience of producing content with accessibility in mind.
- You will enjoy working as part of a dedicated team and be able to plan and manage your work effectively to meet deadlines.
- You will be able to use Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office with ease and we would be particularly interested in candidates who also have experience of video filming, editing and production.
