Job Title: Head of Police Pensions
Salary: Band A - The starting salary is £80,260 which includes allowances totalling £2,928.
The salary is broken down as £77,332 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £89,320. Plus, a location allowance of £1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.
Location: Remote working nationally within UK. NPCC is currently based in close proximity to St James Park underground station, London and therefore occasional travel will be required to this premise and other Police locations across the UK. Contract: 2-year fixed term contract until 31/03/2027 (with the potential for further extension subject to funding and performance).

NPCC PENSIONS TEAM
This is an exciting time to join a small but growing pensions team who will be implementing a single scheme manager shared service arrangement over the coming years.
THE ROLE
The successful candidate would need to have the following experiences and skills:
- Significant experience of Public Sector Pensions including legislation and regulations, governance, valuations, funding, the external regulatory framework and taxation and expert knowledge regarding the majority of these areas.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills and ability to represent the NPCC across a wide range of audiences including government bodies, pensions practitioners and employers.
- Experience of inputting into large-scale financial and funding issues.
- Have strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to present complex information in a concise and clear way to a range of audiences.

VETTING
Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo RV and CTC level before taking up the post.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Occasional national travel may be required. Travel expenses will be paid if location allowance is not being received, or when travel falls outside of the home to work journey. NPCC will pay for overnight accommodation if required.
