S4 - Crime Recorder
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Force Crime Recording Unit as a Crime Recorder based at the Police Headquarters in Winsford.
As a key member of the Public Contact team, you will be responsible for providing timely and accurate crime recording reports at the point of contact with victims. This role requires strict adherence to the Home Office Counting Rules and National Crime Recording Standards, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
You will receive comprehensive training and a supportive coaching plan to ensure you understand and apply the current crime standards. The Force Crime Recording Unit collaborates with various policing departments and officers to ensure victims receive services in line with the current Victims Code.
The ideal candidate will be methodical, organized, and capable of processing and analyzing information to identify potential issues and propose solutions. Attention to detail and accuracy is crucial, as is the ability to identify hidden crimes and risks, ensuring a high standard of crime recording for victims in Cheshire.
The role demands the ability to work effectively under pressure, independently, and with resilience. Confidence in challenging and influencing colleagues at all levels is essential.
Experience with computerised administration is advantageous. Candidates will undergo an accuracy assessment prior to the interview stages.
