Job Title: LMS Business Engagement Manager
Salary: The starting salary is £47,060, which includes allowances totalling £2,928.
The salary is broken down as £44,132 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £52,652. Plus, a location allowance of £1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.
Location: NSY, Hendon, Marlowe House - Other Education Locations as required
We are seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Learning and Development LMS Business Engagement Manager to champion the effective utilisation of our learning management system (LMS). This pivotal role will act as the key liaison between the L&D team and business stakeholders, internal and external, ensuring the LMS meets their needs and maximizes its impact on learning outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and stakeholder management skills, a deep understanding of LMS functionalities, and a passion for driving user engagement. You will be responsible for building relationships with key stakeholders, understanding their learning requirements, providing training and support, and gathering feedback to continuously improve the LMS experience. Job purpose
The purpose of the role is to manage key stakeholders and engage with officers and staff across the Met to embed and sustain the Learning Management System and ensure successful adoption of new functionality linked to the further role out plan.
Key Result Areas:
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business leaders to ensure that the LMS functionality meet business objectives and act as a liaison between the business and the technical team to ensure the requirements are both understood and implemented effectively. This will be done by developing and maintaining positive and collaborative relationships and keeping up to date documentation, including stakeholder mapping, evaluation outcomes and continues improvement plans, which will be fed into the Head of Learning Technology to make informed strategic decisions around priorities.
- Optimisation of user experience: Drive the continuous improvement of the LMS and user engagement and satisfaction by analysing the feedback gathered by the Business Engagement Officers (direct reports) to development paperwork and dashboards. This will ensure the LMS remains a valuable tool that adds value to MPS staff.
- Project Management and Delivery – Lead LMS related projects, including maintain project paperwork for new functionality rollouts, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope and meet the quality standards expected. This will be done by using Agile project management methodologies. Ensure that action logs, risks and issues are managed correctly and escalated appropriately.
- Training and Support: Design appropriate support documentation and training for end users and administrators and provide ongoing support and allocate resources appropriately to ensure adoption and proficiency.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Monitor and analyse usage metrics and run regular reports on adoption of new functionality to prepare relevant paperwork for management boards.
Knowledge:
The role requires the holder to have a strong background in technical requirement gathering and stakeholder engagement. They are required to have knowledge of Learning Management Systems and/or Talent Management Systems. Although experience in Cornerstone on Demand is desirable, knowledge of Moodle or Totara based platforms will suffice. The role holder should be either PRINCE 2 or AGILE trained and have a solid understanding of ITIL4 principles in order for the successful implementation of new functionality.
Communications and Working Relationships
Internal Stakeholders:
- BCU Leaders: To understand how functionality is landing and to ensure full requirements have been gathered.
- L&D First and Mid-Line Leaders: To ensure that key stakeholders are updated of LMS changes at a working level
- Digital Policing: Ensure a positive working relationship with our DDaT business partners to ensure they are kept updated of progress
- Wider met: To understand the needs of different OCU/BCU and how they are using the LMS.
External Stakeholders:
- Cornerstone – Work closely with the Cornerstone Success Manager at a working level to ensure rollout plans, updated are fully understood, to ensure we capture the impact for our staff
- External Delivery Partners – Work closely with our delivery partner on projects,
Other:
- Represent the team at Bronze Project Meetings and at times Silver
Location and working hours:
Shifts are Monday-Friday day shift, but there needs to be flexibility to meet the criteria of the role as and when required. The role will be blended working across London. This role is a deemed a support faculty and enables flexible working in the new Met hybrid working policy. 3 days onsite 2 days work from home. Dependant on mandatory meetings where staff are required to attend and support needs of the business.
L&D supports Flexible Working, and this is considered on a case by case basis in meeting the needs of the role.
