Transferee - Organised Crime Unit DC

Cleveland Police invites applications from experienced officers looking to transfer into the Organised Crime Unit (OCU) as a Detective Constable. Applicants must have successfully completed their ICIDP course and be working towards full accreditation, including completion of their portfolio or already fully accredited as a Detective Constable and have maintained accreditation. Please note that we are only able to accept applications officers currently serving with a Home Office force at this time.

Candidates must also have completed their Q1 Core skills Surveillance Course and have maintained their accreditation in line with College of Policing guidelines.

Successful candidates at application stage will then be required to undergo an interview.

As an OCU Detective Constable, you will work proactively, covertly, and reactively to investigate Organised Crime Groups causing serious harm to the communities of Cleveland. You will play a key role in complex investigations, including gathering and presenting case files for successful prosecution at court. You will also support other force operations through the deployment of covert tactics to assist investigations and operations.

The role typically involves working Monday to Friday, 0800 to 1600 hours, though flexibility is required to meet the demands of OCU and force operations.
